1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Rhythmic ("the App"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Rhythmic is a habit tracking application that allows users to:

• Create and join collaborative habit groups called "Loops"
• Track daily and interval-based habits
• Send accountability messages ("pings") to other members
• View progress and completion status of Loop members
• Connect with friends and invite them to Loops

3. Account Registration and Security

To use Rhythmic, you must create an account using a valid email address and password. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your password and account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Be responsible for all activities that occur under your account

4. User Content and Privacy

Rhythmic allows you to create habits and share progress with other users in your Loops. You retain ownership of your content, but grant us a license to store, display, and transmit it as necessary to provide the service.

Privacy settings you control:

• Public Habits: Visible to all members of a Loop, including titles and completion status
• Private Habits: Only completion counts are visible to Loop members; habit titles remain private
• Loop Membership: You choose which Loops to join and can leave at any time

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Rhythmic to:

• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Send excessive or spam pings (pings are rate-limited to 5 per recipient per day)
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or other users' accounts
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers

6. Pings and Notifications

The "ping" feature allows Loop members to send accountability reminders to each other. To prevent abuse:

• Users can send a maximum of 5 pings per recipient per day
• You can disable ping notifications in your settings
• Persistent harassment via pings may result in account suspension

7. Data and Backups

We make reasonable efforts to maintain and backup your data, but we are not responsible for data loss. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of any critical information.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms of Service or engage in conduct that we deem harmful to other users or the service. You may also delete your account at any time through the app settings.

Upon termination, your access to the service will cease, and we may delete your data after a reasonable period.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Rhythmic is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. Use of the service is at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rhythmic and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the service.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms of Service at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or via email. Your continued use of Rhythmic after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
